MyPostcard – the postcard of the future
On May 1, 2014, Oliver Kray founds the postcard app MyPostcard and starts the Berlin start-up as a one-man show and personal challenge. MyPostcard is an app which makes it possible to send your own photos as real, printed postcards. MyPostcard takes over the printing, the franking and the worldwide dispatch of the cards.
With three million downloads, MyPostcard has become the most successful and, with a rating of 4.7 stars, most popular postcard app, making it one of the top market leaders in the European postcard app sector. The app is available in eight different languages and four different currencies internationally. With more than 20,000 designs and postcards from all over the world, the company currently has the world’s biggest design shop including various motifs and templates – and set to increase. As well as the classic B2C model which is aimed directly at the end-consumer, MyPostcard also offers B2B and B2B2C solutions for corporate partners.
Since its entry into the American market in January 2017, MyPostcard has also had a base in New York. The company works with printers in Berlin (Germany), New York (USA) and Melbourne (Australia). In Dezember 2018, MyPostcard took over the user from Deutsche Post AG’s postcard app, Funcard. In November 2019, MyPostcard was distinguished by the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award meaning it belongs to the top 50 fastest- growing technology companies in Germany.
Besides daily postcard business, social engagement is also very important for the 30-strong MyPostcard team. MyPostcard supports various social projects worldwide, including the American Heart Association, All-Out.org, Postcards To Voters, Rotary International Club, Terre des Femmes and #FreeDeniz (in cooperation with N24 / Axel Springer).
