Serial entrepreneur, Oliver Kray (born 1981), is founder and CEO of MyPostcard.

I’ve been self-employed since I was 18 years old, back then with graffiti jobs and facade designs. Then, later, as a product designer, licensor and in 2007 with a social media agency.

Since his youth, Kray has made a name for himself all over Germany as a graffiti artist. He continued his artistic career directly after graduating from high school, studying fashion design at the renowned Lette-Verein. By the time he had graduated, he had already presented his first fashion collection. Shortly after, Kray founded his first company and launched his first children’s fashion collection on the European market under the brand, “Colors of Berlin”. He subsequently worked as a product designer for Leonardo Glas; the wallpaper manufacturer, Rasch; the car manufacturer, Audi; and the car rental company, Sixt. In 2012, he designed several designer bakeries for the self-service bakery chain, MaitreBack, in Berlin.

In addition to his work as a designer for various industries, Kray continued to build his reputation as a facade artist and won several facade awards in that same year, including the German Facade Award. His colorful facade artworks decorate single and multi-family houses, hotels, company buildings and large apartment buildings throughout Germany. One extensive project was the world’s largest Mercedes star, which he painted on the roof of the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin within two weeks. In between, Kray founded a social media agency together with friends, which he left after four years, when the idea for MyPostcard was born. He still works as a freelance designer today in addition to running MyPostcard.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve founded several companies already, and mostly for the same reason: I always wanted to do something better or different, combined with what I am good at. At MyPostcard, I was ready to put my creativity and passion for tech into a new project.

In May 2014, Oliver Kray founded the postcard app, MyPostcard, and launched the Berlin-based start-up initially as a one-man show and personal challenge.

Currently, Kray is devoting all his energy to the global and product expansion of MyPostcard as well as the development of further mobile photo apps. Through its participation in the German Accelerator Program, MyPostcard is also set for a successful expansion course in the USA. Since October 2017, Kray himself has been active as a mentor at the German Accelerator. Today, he lives and works between Berlin and New York.
