MyPostcard teamed up with adidas and Sharingbox to send sporty postcards from the 44th BMW Berlin-Marathon

It’s that time of the year again! On 24 September 2017 the 44th BMW Berlin-Marathon took place and attracted ambitious runners from around the world. 44,000 participants were determined to cross the finish line of the marathon at kilometer 42,195.

This year MyPostcard.com joined the event – not for running though! We were happy to support the thousands of runners by capturing the sporty spirit on our postcards. In cooperation with adidas and Sharingbox, MyPostcard offered all runners and sports enthusiasts the chance to send free postcards from the adidas HomeCourt store on Friday and Saturday.

What a perfect way to capture the exciting atmosphere and transfer it to your loved ones at home or even send them some sports motivation! The photos could also be printed on location to have a small souvenir for oneself.

Your own photo postcard, easy as that!

Our interns Theresa and Linda wanted to get an idea about the campaign and dropped by the adidas Homecourt Store on Kurfurstendamm in Berlin. The two of them saw the photo booth near the entrance straight away and gave it a try. It’s easy as that: Place yourself in front of the screen, strike a sporty pose and smile! After your picture was taken, you’re free to apply different filters. Not happy with the result? No Problem! Just hit the self-timer once more and get back in your pose. The chosen photos are thensent to the Berlin printing house of MyPostcard, where the postcards are first printed and then sent to the recipients.

Caught by the encouraging atmosphere in the adidas store and on the streets of Berlin, Theresa and Linda sent each other some motivational postcards, as a reminder to get active in sports themselves. Only three days later their postcards were delivered and brought a whole lot of motivation with them. Who knows, maybe they’ll even join the 45th Berlin-Marathon next year? And maybe even you too?!
